Slut Walk in Delhi to fight crime against women

This article has been written for the information that Slut Walk is being organized in Delhi to fight crime against women. The word slut has vulgar meaning and still the orgainser are impressed to the western world and planning to walk in Delhi in skimpy clothes.

There was a rich man who had love for keeping cat and pigeon as pet. Both the creatures being the natural enemy of each other, was creating problem for the rich man to keep as pet. His advisors suggested him to announce a reward for the person who can provide an alternative for keeping the two as pet without any problem. The same was done and many came in but all failed. A person came in shabbily dressed and said that he can provide a solution to the desire of the rich man. He asked for a sack, pigeons, cat and an empty room. On being provided the requested things the person went inside the room.

After an hour he came out of the room drenched in sweat and asked the rich man to accompany him inside. The rich man was surprised to see the cat sitting next to the pigeons and even the pigeons were busy feeding. He duly rewarded the person and happily watched his two enemy pet right in front of his eyes enjoying each other’s company. To his surprise the cat jumped and caught hold of his most valued pigeon and this made him to rage at it. He quickly ordered to fetch the person who has taken the reward. Rich man got furious on seeing him and said, “My cat has killed one of my most precious pigeon”.

The person said, “Then what can I do?”

Rich man, “You promised that the cat will not kill pigeon…”

The person, “Did I mean that it will never happen again…!”

“No…,” was an instant reply from the rich person.

“Then what can I do now?” asked the person.

The rich man cooled down and asked, “Then what did you do with them that they were sitting next to each other for more than an hour?”

The person laughed and said, “It was very simple. I caught your cat and kept it in the sack. Then for more than an hour I just spin the sack and then left the cat out of it. The cat was in under the influence of the spinning motion and just could not make out what was happening. The moment it came into senses, it killed your pigeon.”

The moral of the story: The world has done the same with women as the person had done with the cat. Women cannot understand what is right or wrong for them. To wear skimpy clothes or to wear decent one! To dress modestly or impudently. This is what the women will understand when the cochlea will settle down of the nausea.

Some people who are organising “Slut Walks” around the globe are advocating that they want to prove that females are not mere objects for sex violence.

First “Slut Walk” was orgainsed in Toronto (on 3rd April, 2011) in order to react to the comment of a police officer suggesting the females to wear decently and should avoid "dressing like sluts" in order not to be victimised. But surprisingly the female became angry and decided to organise a walk with skimpy clothes. Is this the way to fight crime against women or further instigate the criminal and broadly consider the female objects to disrespect?

Word Slut means:
1. Chiefly British: a slovenly woman
2. Promiscuous woman; especially: prostitute
3. A saucy girl: minx
So what these “Slut Walk” organisers want to prove? Don’t they know the meaning of the word!

A nineteen year old Ms. Umang Sabharwal is orgainsing a “Slut Walk” in Delhi on 31 July from the place which has seen agitation for the betterment of the country—Jantar Mantar. The Indian version of the “Slut Walk” is termed as “Besharmi Morcha”. Ms. Umang Sabharwal said, “Not all people in Delhi understand the meaning of the word slut so we have zeroed it to Besharmi Morcha. And this will help people to understand the real concept.” According to her, “This walk will bring about change in the patriarchal mindset of Delhi”.  She is positive that 17,000 people will participate in the event…as this number has been marked as ‘Yes’ on the social site Fecebook by the so called participants. Ms. Umang Sabharwal at the age of nineteen you don’t have much brain to fight the age old tendency of crimes against females.

Friends, what do you think about this event?
These 17,000 so called participants will be encouraging the females to dress the least without fear or will be clicking images of girl’s being semi-nude to post on the sites and make fun of females at large.

According to the organisers this will help in to curb violence against women in public spaces!

What do the readers think this will stop the crime against women or further propagate that females are only objects to be taken for granted.

I think that this is not the right way to enhance the esteem of the females; rather the organisers should organise signature campaign on what punishment should be given to the rapist—instant death or trial in the court.

It is strange that permission for the walk has been granted by the Delhi Police.
The Walk will take place on 31st July, from Jantar Mantar Road to Parliament Street and back.
Route:
Free Church (assemble point)
→ YWCA Guest House
→ Parliament Street Police Station
→ Patel Chowk
→ Patel Chowk Metro Station
→ Asoka Road
→ Jantar Mantar Road
→ Free Church
People are requested to assemble in front of the Free Church gate by 10.30 am.
Right from the Gate of the Church (an honourable place for all) skimpy clothed females will start the walk, what a pity for the Church management.

This is an evil propagation to further disrespect the female and has taken over India. A similar walk was organized in Bhopal on 17 July as PrideStride for Women. This should be considered another strategy to further corrupt the rich culture of India and make India fall prey to the effects of the western culture.

  4. Ms. Umang Sabharwal this is not the way to agitate for the crime against women. You and your people are going to degrade the female making them walk on the roads of Delhi with fewer clothes. God has covered everything which is tempting and the female body is the most tempting thing in this world so we should cover it not just expose it.
