Anna Hazare protest on 16 August

This post is to inform that Anna Hazare is going to have a tough time if he is not abiding to the guidelines given by the Delhi Police for his hunger strike starting from 15 August 2011.

Delhi police trying to crush the voice against corruption and is planning to use force against Anna and his men. They have asked Anna to limit his hunger strike which is scheduled to start on 16 August 2011 in Delhi to three days and not permitting 5,000 people at a time.

Anna has accused the UPA government of deceit as they are imposing conditions on his agitation and in this regard he requested the PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh to intervene. In reply to the letter of Anna the PM said, “His grievances needed to be addressed by the statutory authorities who have taken the decision”. “My office does not in any way get involved in the decision-making process”. Further adding on the PM said, “The condition laid down are to be taken care off and should be strictly followed in respect to the circumstances and relevant factors”.

The Delhi Police has issue a letter to the team of Anna Hazare with 22 conditions. The fast is scheduled to be held at Jai Prakash Narain Park in Delhi. Anna said, “He can foresee that the government is planning to suppress his agitation against corruption and he is ready for any eventuality be it beating from the police or going to jail”.
Anna voilent on Delhi Police demands
Anna is planning this agitation as the government has turn down the draft of the Jan Lokpal Bill which his team has given to the government instead the Standing Committee of the government has placed a draft which they have drafted in the Parliament for approval. “It is a fact that the present UPA government is the most corrupt government since independence which the people of India are talking about at large,” Anna said. He further added, “The government is trying all sort of tactics to suppress his voice against corruption as they have done with Baba Ramdev”.
BJP is accusing the UPA government of trying to crush the Anna and his men in an autocratic manner. To fight and raise voice against corruptions is a right of a individual and the government cannot stop it.

Mr. P Chidambaram the Union Home Minister termed the protest of Anna Hazare as unjustified and extra-parliamentary as his government has already placed the draft on the floor of the Parliament for discussion.
