Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill 2019: List of revised Traffic fines

This blog post is about the introduction of the new traffic fines under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2019.

On July 23, 2019 Lok Sabha (Lower House) passed the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2019. This bill is to amend the provisions under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. The same bill was introduced in the month of April 2017 but lapsed due to not getting clearance from the RajyaSabha (Upper House) and dissolution of the 16th Lok Sabha.

Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill 2019 was introduced by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway, Mr. Nitin Gadkari on July 22, 2019. Through this bill, the government want to enforce stricter penalties for the traffic violations.
