Raksha Bandhan festival of Communal Harmony

Rakshabandhan is a festival of Indian people wherein the sister ties a decorative thread (Rakhi) on the wrist of her brother as a token of love. Against this, the brother promises for the security of his sister.

Rani Karnavati (died March 8, 1535), was a princess and temporary ruler from Bundi, India. She was married to Rana Sangram Singh (Rana Sanga) of Chittorgarh, the capital of Mewar Kingdom. She was the mother of the two Ranas, Rana Vikramaditya and Rana Uday Singh, and grandmother of the legendary RANA PRATAB.

Rani Karnavati sent RAKHI to Mughal Emperor HUMAYUN, calling him a brother and asking for help. He immediately sent his forces for her help as she was attacked by the ruler of Gujarat (Bahadur Shah). Bahadur Shah had to, however, flee from Chittor when Mughal military reinforcements arrived.

The episode which actually took place when Rani Karnavati (Hindu Princess) sent Rakhi to Emperor Humayun (Muslim Ruler) was like this. Mughal Emperor Humayun was having lunch at the time when Rakhi of Rani Karnavati arrived. He asked his adviser as to what was the meaning of Rakhi and on getting the explanation, he left the food. His adviser suggested, "Huzur, you should finish your meal". To which Mughal Emperor Humayun replied, "Food is taken twice in a day on daily basis, but the honour of the sister is much more important than food, and thus we should start the action". Friends, this was the history of our Communal Harmony then what, where, and why something has gone wrong?

Then why can't we all remember this GOOD PARTS of OUR HISTORY, rather than keep on dividing ourselves on various issues...
STAY UNITED not DIVIDED...!
