Karnataka assembly and porn film

This post is about shameful incident which took place in the Karnataka State Assembly where three BJP ministers were caught red handed watching porn/blue film.

We are educating our children to follow the politicians like, Mahatma Gandhi, Tilak, Maulana Azad, Pt. Nehru, etc who have raised esteem of India high in the world. We have chapters in the school book which portray the towering personality of these great heroes of India.

Now the situation is worst where the children have understood that politicians are bunch of corrupt person and the freedom fighters were rather different than the present politicians.

In the Karnataka Assembly two ministers Lakshman Savadi, and C C Patil were found to be viewing porn film on the mobile of the third minister Krishna Palemar while the assembly was debating on the serious issue of hoisting Pakistani National flag in a town in Bijapur district in Karnataka state.

For these minister this debate was meaning less as they were enjoying time watching salacious clip on the mobile and not only this they even had the guts to argue that they were doing work. Savadi said, “Since the house was discussing the Malpe rave party, I was watching the evidence which was furnished by Krishna Palemar through his mobile. It was a video of that party where a dancer was raped by four men”. What to do with such a minister who is not aware as to what was being discussed on the floor of the assembly?

C C Patil is the minister for women and child welfare who was really honouring his portfolio as watching a porn video on the floor of state assembly. He should have been the one to stop others from doing this in respect to his portfolio, but now all can understand what kind of women and child welfare is being done in India by these perverted ministers.

Laxman Savadi the minister for cooperation was fully providing his corporation to the other minister in their indecent act on the floor of the assembly.

L K Advani the veteran leader of BJP did his Rath Yatra in India last year as Anti-Corruption Rath Yatra and did not touch the state of Karnataka as he would have been sure about the misconduct of members of his party.

Section 292 of IPC:
292. Sale, etc., of obscene books, etc.— [(1) For the purposes of sub-section (2), a book, pamphlet, paper, writing, drawing, painting, representation, figure or any other object, shall be deemed to be obscene if it is lascivious or appeals to the prurient interest or if its effect, or (where it comprises two or more distinct items) the effect of any one of its items, is, if taken as a whole, such as to tend to deprave and corrupt person, who are likely, having regard to all relevant circumstances, to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it.]
[(2)] Whoever—

(a) sells, lets to hire, distributes, publicly exhibits or in any manner puts into circulation, or for purposes of sale, hire, distribution, public exhibition or circulation, makes, produces or has in his possession any obscene book, pamphlet, paper, drawing, painting, representation or figure or any other obscene object whatsoever, or

(b) imports, exports or conveys any obscene object for any of the purposes aforesaid, or knowing or having reason to believe that such object will be sold, let to hire, distributed or publicly exhibited or in any manner put into circulation, or

(c) takes part in or receives profits from any business in the course of which he knows or has reason to believe that any such obscene objects are for any of the purposes aforesaid, made, produced, purchased, kept, imported, exported, conveyed, publicly exhibited or in any manner put into circulation, or

(d) advertises or makes known by any means whatsoever that any person is engaged or is ready to engage in any act which is an offence under this section, or that any such obscene object can be procured from or through any person, or

(e) offers or attempts to do any act which is an offence under this section,

shall be punished [on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, and with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, and, in the event of a second or subsequent conviction, with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years, and also with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees].

According to the Section 292 of the IPC these minister have violated the section C and D of this act by publicly viewing porn material and thus they should be punished as per law.

On the other hand for disrespecting the Law making floor (Assembly) which is should be honoured and respected by every person who has respect for the Indian Constitution they should be expelled from the political system and never allowed to fight elections in future.

  1. It is really shame on the part of MLA's who choose assembly premises as their time pass place and that too viewing porn clips on mobiles. They really down graded themselves and the the people who have elected them.

  2. The legal part was good from your side. I had written something I thought on the act of watching porn, maybe you might agree or differ with me. Please do check my blog, if you are interested.
